Housed over a 13-stall horse stable, THE STABLE is located off Flannery Fork Road and 3.5 miles from Blowing Rock.

The Blue Ridge Parkway and Moses Cone Park trails are a short hike from here. In addition, you will have access to a rainbow trout-stocked pond where you can sometimes catch a Blue Heron or local Owl going after the fish. If you're up early enough you may just be able to see a flock of wild turkeys crossing the road, hoardes of bunnies looking for the perfect nibble of sweet grass. Watch in wonder as a single deer or an entire family grace our fields (although temporarily) here at Flannery Fork Farms.


THE STABLE offers a gas fireplace and a cozy whirlpool tub in the Master Bath. Recently rennovated, is it reminiscent of an older mountain home with the pine floors and cozy atmosphere. As beautiful and cool as our mountains are, sometimes a little extra cooling is needed but not to worry - THE STABLE is airconditioned for those few days of uncharacteristically warm weather.

Adjoining THE STABLE is a recreation room complete with a ping-pong table, dart board, game table, reading nook and a mini-library for book lovers.

Blowing Rock completes THE STABLE package offering white-water rafting (summer only), hiking, golf (public and private courses), dining (both fine and casual) and shopping (from outlets to boutiques)!

During the winter months ski the area's top three ski resorts conveniently located between a 10-40 minute drive. Or you may want to browse downtown Boone and Blowing Rock - either way you're sure to enjoy our wonderful winter wonderland.
